This 57 year old patient was referred to us to treat her teeth that had been destroyed by gum disease. She was also under the care of a specialist periodontist. The patient was very unhappy about the appearance of these teeth and insisted that she did not want to wear a denture as a replacement.
According to Dr T C Patel, ‘Restoring the missing teeth with dental implants required bone grafting and the space was too narrow for two units. After lengthy consultation, the patient elected to have orthodontic treatment to reduce the space for a single tooth implant.’
